Mathias Vander Hoogerstraete is a teaching assistant in the Educational Master’s program in Philosophy and Moral Sciences at Ghent University. In addition, he teaches in secondary education, with a broad background in subjects such as Non-Confessional Ethics, Philosophy, Debate, and Cultural Studies.

He has a strong interest in the philosophy of education and educational innovation, with a specific focus on dialogue, debate, and conversational exercises. Within the domain of Generative AI, he experiments with applications to support teachers’ work and to create powerful learning environments.
