bAIcycle, the condition of cycling lanes
Using "cycling citizens", bAIcycle will map the comfort and road safety of the Flemish bicycle lanes.
Smartphone data, electric bicycle data & data from additional sensors such as an accelerometer are combined in a sleek way. This data stream feeds an AI detection and classification algorithm that automatically maps the Flemish cycling network.
BAIcycle is one of four projects originated in the AMAI citizen science project that encourages Flemish citizens to think about AI. Read more (in Dutch)

Thomas De Moor holds a degree in Computer Science and a postgraduate degree in Innovative Entrepreneurship for Engineers. He specialises in human-computer interaction, but also has an extensive background in data analysis thanks to his work experience at DataCamp and NERF. 6 years ago he founded Sentigrate, a company that offers services around processing and integrating sensor data.
