Summer School on Artificial Intelligence & Creativity

This Una Europa Summer School brings together graduate and PhD students pursuing diplomas in computer science, engineering, arts, design, law or humanities who are eager to expand their knowledge of AI and its applications in creative domains. It is also intended for academics, and creative professionals, who want to incorporate AI tools and techniques into their work and stay up-to-date with the latest developments in AI and creativity.

Relevant topics include: AI in Literature and Visual Art; AI-Driven Music Composition; AI in Cinema; Computational Creativity; Conditional generation; Copyright and plagiarism ; Deep fake detection; Digital restoration; Emotional AI; Generative Models; Interactive Chatbots; Large Language Models (LLMs); Liability and Accountability; Multi-modal creativity; Privacy, consumer protection; Procedural Content Generation; Representation Learning; Style Transfer.

• Pablo Gervas Gomez-Navarro, full professor on computational creativity and natural language processing (Catedr' atico de Universidad) at Universidad Complutense de Madrid and director of the NIL research group.
• Mark Keane, Chair of Computer Science at UCD.
• Loreto Parisi, Director of Engineering and Artificial Intelligence at Musixmatch, the world leading music data company with 80 millions users and 50 million active users.
• Yann Toma, an artist-observer at the United Nations (New York), a university Professor at Paris 1 Pantheon-Sorbonne, a conceptual artist, a member of the ACTE Institute, director of the Master in Arts and Vision (International Master in EAS Creative Creation), co-director of the Master Art & Management of InnovationCreative Industries.
• Edouard Treppoz, Professor of Law at the University Paris 1 Pantheon-Sorbonne, director the Master 2 degree in Audiovisual Law.
• Tony Veale, outgoing chair of the international Association for Computational Creativity (ACC), and the author of several monographs on the topic of computational creativity and creative language generation H.
• Celia Zolynski, Professor of Law at the University of Paris 1 PantheonSorbonne, director the Master 2 degree Creative and Digital Law, co-director of the Research Department on Immaterial Law of the Sorbonne (IRJS-DReDis) and codirector of the AI Observatory of Paris1.

UnaEuropa Participants: All participants from member universities of the UnaEuropa consortium are invited to contact the local representatives within the Data Science and Artificial Intelligence Self-Steering Committee to express their interest and explore funding options.

Other Participants: including the other partner universities of Una Europa that are not Erasmus+ BIP partners and all individuals interested in participating in the school are invited to express their interest to Prof. Asperti (andrea.asperti@unibo.it). Admissions will be processed on a first-come, first-served basis.

The fee includes tuition, course material, lunches, welcome and social dinner (the other dinners are not included), half day excursion, coffee breaks and transportation from/to Forlì train station on July 7/13.
