Scientific Visualization
Through guided exercises, you will import simulation data, apply visualization techniques such as cutting planes, isosurfaces, and streamlines, and create 3D visualizations for interactive viewing with our tools.
Praktische info:
Leertraject
The two-day workshop begins with a brief overview of scientific visualization concepts, followed by hands-on sessions where participants learn to build visualization pipelines in COVISE and VISTLE .
The course also covers how to prepare models for Virtual Environments and set up Augmented Reality visualizations.
Participants have the option to take an exam at the end of the course to test their newly learned skills and acquire a course certificate, rather than a standard certificate of participation (see also our page on track certificates).
How to extend Vistle for your project and create automated visualization pipelines is taught in the accompanying course Programming for Vistle.
Learning outcomes
After completing this course, participants will be able to:
- understand key concepts of scientific visualization
- set up visualizations in COVISE and Vistle to explore and present
simulation data
