he course teaches the newest Fortran standards, illustrated during hands-on sessions which will allow users to immediately test and understand the language constructs. The course is taught by Uwe Küster, one of the main experts in Germany on the Fortran Standard, who will share with the participants his vast repertoire of exercises and examples.

- Fortran syntax overview (days 1-3)
- Basics
- Program units, modules, procedures
- Dynamic data
- Input and Output
- Object orientation (days 4-5)
- Performance optimization of serial code (days 4-5)
The course will also touch upon:
- Compilers for Fortran and their usage
- Features of the most recent Fortran standards
Some time will be allocated for topics raised by the participants, relevant for your Fortran projects.
