Recent advances in AI raise a broad range of questions. What kind of methods are used to analyse data and to induce intelligent behaviour? How does generative AI relate to human creativity? What values and ideologies do large language models exhibit? What does the future hold for us?
Belgian universities have long histories in AI research. Join this symposium to learn about ongoing research and to hear visions of leading AI researchers from VUB, KU Leuven, UAntwerp, UGent and UCLouvain, as well as U Helsinki, Finland. The symposium is organised as part of Hannu Toivonen's Francqui International Chair in Belgium (April-July, 2025).
