VAIA

VAIA accelerates the adoption of AI in Flemish companies and organisations by gathering and redistributing a broad and relevant range of AI training courses for professionals in Flanders.

We help training organisations tailor their courses to meet current and future AI needs, by providing insights into the AI training requirements of different professional sectors and connecting them with AI expertise from academia and industry.

As a bridge-builder, we facilitate the smooth exchange of AI knowledge between academics and businesses. In this way, we promote lifelong learning in Flanders and make AI knowledge accessible for everyone.

AI literacy (EU AI Act Article 4)

AI literacy helps people assess whether using AI is a good or bad idea and how to apply it correctly. As of 2 February 2025, every organisation in the EU should take measures to support the development of sufficient AI literacy among their employees, end-users, and anyone else affected by their use of AI systems.

AI training for PhD students. What is needed?

AI is changing the work of PhD students: from the impact on research methods to the writing processes. As a result, PhD students need AI training courses. Is the current offer sufficient? Which courses exist already, and which are missing? And can students find their way towards them?

More and more AI in Flemish companies, our knowledge needs to keep up

While AI easily finds its way into Flemish companies, some companies are lagging behind and Flanders is struggling with a huge learning problem among professionals.
