École centrale de Lyon

Founded in 1857, the École Centrale de Lyon is one of the top 10 engineering schools in France. Our campuses in Ecully and Saint Étienne (ENISE, an internal school) are home to more than 3,000 students from over 50 nationalities, registered for our general engineering science degree, our specialised engineering degrees, our Masters degrees and our doctoral programmes.

As part of the Groupe des Écoles Centrale, we have three international affiliated schools. Our educational programmes are founded on the excellence of our research laboratories, with 6 CNRS-accredited laboratories on our campuses, 2 international laboratories and 6 international research networks, and 10 joint laboratories with industrial partners.

Thanks to our internationally-recognised research and teaching we have double-degree agreements with prestigious universities throughout the world and cutting-edge partnerships with numerous companies. With its focus on energy, decarbonization, the environment and reduced consumption the Ecole Centrale de Lyon is collaborating with partners in industry, state and non-profit organizations to implement the transition to more sustainable development.
