Glenn Van Wallendael
Glenn Van Wallendael obtained his Master's degree in Computer Science from Ghent University, Belgium, in 2008. He subsequently obtained his PhD from IDLab, Ghent University, with funding from the Research Foundation Flanders (FWO).
Since 2019, he has worked as a professor at both Ghent University and IMEC on topics such as the efficient representation and compression of visual information, including immersive media, 360-degree video, light fields, virtual reality, and the various operations on these modalities, such as (scalable) compression, computer vision, watermarking, personalized video distribution, and video quality estimation.
