Glenn van Waesberghe
Glenn is a video game developer and applied researcher who regularly takes on the role of science communicator teaching creatives, usually in the game and film sector, about the newest AI and tech innovations through talks, workshops and webinars.
His presentations focus on keeping his audience up-to-date with a broad range of technological advances, as well as more practical sessions focussed on how individuals can leverage these technologies to work more efficiently.
During these sessions Glenn isn't afraid to take a deep dive into how these technologies work on a conceptual level, as quite often, that understanding can make all the difference in getting the most out of them, and forming opinions on how/when they should be used.
Aside from presentations, Glenn also gives advice and works on practical proof of concepts as part of his role at Digital Arts and Entertainment's research department, getting invaluable hands-on experience with technologies like AI, Virtual Reality, Motion Capture and Virtual Production.
