Brahim Bénichou
Brahim Bénichou is legal researcher at the Centre voor IT & IP Law (CiTiP) at KU Leuven. He focuses on:
- the legal and ethical aspects of AI as member of the Knowledge Centre for juridical, ethical and societal aspects of artificial intelligence and data-driven applications, and on
- the application of the GDPR in both tech and SME environments.
He is also active as:
- freelance lawyer-consultant IT and privacy.
- founder of the legal tech start-up My Privacy Specialist, a legal solution that helps SME’s to implement the GDPR in a cost-effective way and tailored to their specific needs.
He obtained his law degree at the Vrije Universiteit Brussel (2006 – cum laude). During these studies, he also studied at the Université Libre de Bruxelles as part of the Erasmus Belgica programme. He also obtained an LLM in Corporate Law at the KU Leuven (2010 – cum laude).
