Theater of Thought
The brand new mini science festival ScienceVille opens with the Belgian premiere of Theater of Thought by documentary master Werner Herzog. The documentary is a journey through scientific research into (virtual or otherwise) brains, as only Herzog can make a documentary.
During the opening night the screening is preceded by a short explanation of the ScienceVille program and framed by the Leuven Brain Institute. This is followed by a reception with music from - who else - the Big Brain Band.

The brand-new Scienceville section is the culmination of a gradual evolution within Docville in which the general public's interest in science is being improved into high-quality scientific documentaries. As a fully-fledged festival-within-a-festival, the programme consists not only of documentaries but also of numerous accompanying activities: lectures and workshops for the general public, children, film-makers and researchers, live experiments, an exhibition on Artificial Intelligence and even a film competition.
