Get a bite out of AI, at the Nerdland Festival
During the Pentecost weekend, Nerdland Festival is the place to be for nerds, geeks and all their (less geeky) friends and relatives. Crazy, but scientifically sound.
VAIA will also be present at Belgium's largest open-air science festival, with a booth about AI and lifelong learning that we share with amai!, the project about AI for society from Scivil and Knowledge Center Data & Society.

What can you experience at the VAIA stand?
Look mama, no steering wheel! Drive a virtual car with gestures.
In this demo you will experience a new way of driving a car in a video game. Instead of using a controller or keyboard, you control the car with your hands! Using a computer vision algorithm, the game will recognize your hand movements and translate them into steering.
This demo is hosted by Radix
Behind which Masked Singer could you hide? Find out with AI!
Have you always wondered whether your voice is more like Hippo's or Raven's? Discover it in our Ontmaskatron! Based on a short fragment of your voice, our demonstration shows which Masked Singer you might pass for. In the meantime, you can also learn something about the AI behind voice recognition.
This demo is hosted by Radix
Logodesigner
Adjust a logo or other drawing to the seasons, the drawing style or your own creativity and gain insight into the power of AI. How could you use a similar tool?
This demo is hosted by ML6.
Sink your teeth into AI
No demo, but an invitation for a good conversation: at the VAIA stand, VAIA employees explain the importance of AI for your future career and we show you the way to promising training courses, from beginner to expert.
Here, you also get the chance to try out some AI tools for yourself.
Come talk to us and boost your career with AI!
amai!
Get to know the basics of AI in a playful way and taste the endless possibilities of this technology. Learn to think like a robot in a fun workshop or participate in interactive games.
BAIcycle
Thanks to “the cycling citizens”, BAIcycle will map the comfort (design, condition, ease of use) and the traffic safety of the Flemish cycle paths. To achieve this, the project partners developed a smart box mounted on a bicycle. Come and discover the bike and "its system" at our stand.
This is a project of Karel De Grote University College and Sentigrate, funded by the amai! project.
