Laurens Vreekamp

Laurens Vreekamp is journalist, trainer, designthinker en oprichter van de Future Journalism Today Academy. Tot voor kort werkte hij als Teaching Fellow bij het News Lab van Google en was hij docent-onderzoeker User Experience Design aan de School voor Journalistiek en opleiding Communication & Media Design in Utrecht. In 2013 werd hij verkozen tot Docent van het Jaar.

Hij werkte als researcher, docent en designer onder meer met RTL Nieuws, Nu.nl, Dentsu Aegis, Het Parool, NPO Radio 1 en de KRO-NCRV. Vreekamp studeerde cum laude af als European Media Master of Arts in Interactive Media (2003) aan de University of Portsmouth. Sinds 2022 is hij toegetreden als lid van de expertgroep inzake het vergroten van de veerkracht van media (MSI-RES) van de Raad van Europa.
