European AI Act: How to make Europe world class in AI?
"Europe may not have been the leader in the last wave of digitisation, but she has everything to lead the next one," said Margrethe Vestager, Executive Vice-President for a Digital Europe, when the Commission presented the blueprint for a European Artificial Intelligence Act (AIA) law in April 2021. The new regulation should make Europe the global hub for reliable artificial intelligence (AI). We are doing it our European way, between the US which is focusing on the advancement of technology and China which is misusing AI to excessively control and oppress citizens.
