AI Master challenge 2024 - AI Lab & Puratos

The AI Challenge:

Each year, as part of their Master's degree in AI, students work on a specific and concrete project in collaboration with a partner.

This year, the students have been working in partnership with the Supply Chain Management and Data Science departments of Puratos.

On the 15th of May, the students will present their work and demonstrate how AI can be used to improve stock management, balancing the delicate act of guaranteeing the right service level for customer vs minimizing inventory levels & costs.

With this AI challenges, we aim to improve the hands-on skills of our Artificial Intelligence Lab master students, as well as their soft skills.

In 6 months time, they have to develop and integrate AI technology in close collaboration with a professional partner. Next to the technical aspects they hereby learn to organize themselves, manage the project, and communicate about it.Each year, as part of their Master's degree in AI, students work on a specific and concrete project in collaboration with a partner.

Agenda:

17h to 18h00: Introduction about the AI master and the AI Challenge, students will present their work and demos.

18h15 to 19h30: Networking session and drinks

Location:

The event will take place at the AI EXPERIENCE CENTRE of the VUB. It is an innovation hub dedicated to emerging as an enabler by connecting academic expertise of the EU AI Framework with relevant stakeholders.

The Centre functions as a high-tech test, demonstration, and meeting platform which welcomes companies, policymakers, tech entrepreneurs, researchers, and the general public to experiment with AI and cooperate to develop and produce technological solutions.
