Ivan De Boi
Ivan De Boi graduated in 2001 as an Electronics engineer and started a career in industry before becoming a lecturer and research coordinator at the Karel de Grote Hogeschool. His main teaching topics were Unity3D game engine, AR/VR and machine learning. He did his PhD at InViLab, the industrial vision group of the University of Antwerp. His thesis is titled "Gaussian processes for 3D measurements". Currently he is a postdoctoral researcher. His work focusses on Gaussian processes for the calibration of non-conventional cameras. His interests are probabilistic numerics and how to intertwine them with 3D line geometry.
