We are a socio-cultural volunteer organization named after Jan Frans Willems, with a mission and, above all, a passion for the Dutch language. The Willemsfonds is a meeting place where you can enjoy culture in the broadest sense of the word. Every year, our more than 500 volunteers organize around 1,500 cultural activities.

What do we do?

From museum visits to writing competitions, from cultural trips to Alsace and New York to debate evenings and book presentations, going to the opera or a jazz concert together or a behind-the-scenes visit to Opera Ballet Vlaanderen, from photography competitions and cultural bike rides to lectures on euthanasia and Adolphe Sax. And so much more.
