The Leuven Centre for Health Humanities (LCH²) is an interdisciplinary research centre that was founded in 2021 within the group of Humanities and Social Sciences at KU Leuven. Bringing together, among many other disciplines, sociologists, historians, philosophers, literary scholars, educational scientists and scholars in Religious Studies, LCH² joins an international Health Humanities movement to think about both our experience and our knowledge of health and disease. The centre provides KU Leuven researchers with an interdisciplinary space to exchange academic insights and methodologies, acting both as a hub for Health Humanities research within the group of Humanities and Social Sciences and as a bridge from this group to interested researchers within the groups of Biomedical Sciences, and Science, Engineering and Technology. Through its activities, LCH² also aims to inform and inspire biomedical scientists and the public at large.
