Department of Computer Science KU Leuven
The Department of Computer Science conducts internationally renowned research and provides academic education in the fields of informatics, computer science, artificial intelligence, mathematical engineering, digital humanities, and teacher education.
Researchers at the department are distributed across eight locations in Flanders into five research units, with the focal point in Leuven at the Arenberg Campus. They study methods and develop tools to master the ever-increasing complexity of designing, implementing and maintaining reliable software systems, including numerical computations. Furthermore, the department is the birthplace of many spin-off companies.
With more than 50 professors, 300 researchers, and more than 2000 bachelor and master students, Computer Science is a prominent international research and education department.
The Department of Computer Science is part of the Science, Engineering & Technology Group of the KU Leuven, and provides programmes for the faculties of Engineering Science, Engineering Technology and Science
