CSEM (Conseil supérieur de l'éducation aux médias)

The Decree establishing the CSEM (Conseil supérieur de l'éducation aux médias) adopted on 5 June 2008 by the Parliament of the Wallonia-Brussels Federation aims to recognise, perpetuate, strengthen, extend and integrate, in a comprehensive system, the initiatives and structures currently existing in the media education sector while not being specifically limited to school audiences.

To this end, the Higher Council for Media Education (Conseil supérieur de l'éducation aux médias, CSEM) has many missions, ranging from the promotion of media literacy to the promotion of initiatives and the provision of opinions on the projects presented to it.
