Robin Decoster
As a researcher, I investigate the intricate relationship between technology and society within healthcare. I am particularly captivated by the hermeneutic dimensions—the interpretation of the world by a human being through the output of a technical artifact—viewed through a (post)phenomenological lens. I explore the impact of AI on the concept of meaningful work, examining how it reshapes the nature of work, and the competencies required in the evolving landscape.
The Human Factor Lab focusses on the human in (technical) innovations for a effective and safe healthcare. With a background in industrial policy, As research lead at the Human Factor Lab I am curious for innovations and the crosstalk with society. Next to fostering our ecosystem, I lecture medical informatics and innovation.
