Patrick Michielsen is a senior legal advisor with over 20 years of practical experience in all legal areas of business and technology law. Founder of advisory firm Indigo Legal (since 2015).

After obtaining his specialist degrees in EU and Belgian law, he has been able to gain unique practical experience in various technology sectors, including in large internationally oriented law firms in Brussels, as well as during assignments as in-house lawyer at multinational ICT companies.

Thanks to his technical insights, he is able to provide proactive, practical and commercially oriented legal advice, and therefore not just theoretical legal advice. Extensive experience with ICT contracts and broader compliance, including artificial intelligence (AI) and GDPR. In addition, he has frequently appeared as a legal speaker at events in the tech sector and has published various legal contributions.
