Content
This programme adopts a strategy-first approach to AI, focusing on how organizations can leverage AI technologies to achieve sustainable competitive advantage. Rather than emphasizing technical detail, it prioritizes managerial insight and strategic application, highlighting how effective AI strategies emerge from the alignment of technology, data, people, and execution. The learning journey progresses from foundational AI understanding to strategic integration and concrete implementation, supported by an accompanying book and complementary software platform.
Learning objectives
- Understand the capabilities and limitations of key AI technologies such as machine learning, NLP, Gen AI, and robotics
- Apply strategic frameworks (e.g., VRIO, dynamic capabilities, value chain, ecosystems, business model canvas, etc.) in a dynamic AI context
- Analyze how AI can be deployed across its strategic roles (e.g., analyst, enabler, collaborator, and dynamic learner)
- Identify and evaluate AI opportunities within and beyond the organization
- Develop AI-driven strategic initiatives and implementation pathways
- Understand data as a strategic asset and prerequisite for effective AI applications
- Navigate the ethical, regulatory, and organizational implications of AI
Why is this important?
AI is fundamentally transforming how organizations create value, compete, and make decisions. Professionals are increasingly confronted with strategic choices related to AI without necessarily having a technical background. This programme helps them bridge the gap between IT and strategy, enabling informed decision-making, translating AI into concrete business impact, and taking an active role in AI-driven transformations.
Participant outcomes
Participants develop a clear and actionable framework to approach AI strategically. They are able to identify, prioritize, and translate AI opportunities into concrete actions, ensuring alignment between strategic objectives, organizational capabilities, and responsible AI use, while driving sustainable value creation.
